At all of our events, the first to find a targeted species (1 per species per hunt) is awarded a gold plated Mushroom Merit Pin. These can only be earned through the hard work of finding a mushroom, silver plated versions can be bought at our store or at open group hunts.

Ellis Library event in 2020 in Monroe, Michigan
This event brought in over 200 people! It featured a presentation in mycology, biology, basics of mushroom hunting, edible medicinal and poisonous species, resources, hunting groups and a mushroom tasting.
Bioblitz at For-mar Nature Preserve in Genesee county of Michigan
This event is part of a much larger picture. At For-mar, every year in September, local students have the opportunity to catalog wild species for global researchers and scientists utilizing iNaturalist.com
