Hi, I’m Andrew — a state-certified Mushroom Identification Expert and passionate educator on a mission to reconnect people with the wild world around them.

After years in a fast-paced marketing career, I traded the boardroom for the forest floor — and I’ve never looked back. What started as a personal journey quickly grew into a lifelong calling. Since becoming certified in 2018, I’ve spent over seven years leading educational mushroom walks and workshops throughout Michigan, teaching everyone from curious schoolchildren at For-Mar Nature Preserve’s annual Bio-Blitz to my own 90-year-old grandmother.

Mushrooms changed my life. Time in the woods helped me heal from years of poor diet, inactivity, and depression. Foraging gave me a deeper relationship with the food I eat, a renewed commitment to my health, and a sense of purpose I carry with me every day.

Now, I help others discover the same joy, wonder, and connection. Whether you're a total beginner or a lifelong nature lover, I’d love to share what I’ve learned and guide you into the rich and fascinating world of wild mushrooms.
